How to sell art on your MosaicGlobe website
Make your art easy to buy and pay for with MosaicGlobe. With PayPal integration your buyers can pay with their bank account, PayPal balance, or their debit or credit card. Online shoppers use PayPal because it's fast, easy and secure.
Accepting credit cards payments through your MosaicGlobe website is a simple process. A Pay Pal 'Buy Now' button can be added to each Gallery item. This option is available to MosaicGlobe PLUS accounts. Note: You'll also need to set up a Free Pay Pal account to accept payments. While PayPal does charge a small transaction fee per sale, MosaicGlobe does not charge a commission for your sales.
The Benefits Of PayPal
A PayPal merchant account allows you to accept secure online payments. PayPal encrypts your sensitive financial information so the only person who can see it is you.
There isn't a setup fee or monthly fee associated with Pay Pal so there is no upfront costs involved. Sellers are charged per-transaction fees. These fees will vary depending on the package that you choose. The fees associated with the standard Pay Pal merchant account are $0.30 per transaction plus 1.9% - 2.9% of the selling price.
To start using PayPal on your MosaicGlobe account you'll need to go through a Pay Pal verification process such as adding a credit card to your account or verifying a couple of small deposits to the bank account that you list on the account. You'll also need to verify your email address and physical address.
Visit PayPal to setup a free account and begin accepting payments as soon as your PayPal account is verified.
Adding a Buy Now Button
To add a Buy Now button to an item:
- Log into your account and navigate to the gallery item you'd like to make available for sale.
- Select the 'Add a PayPal 'Buy Now' Button to this Image.' option and enter the email address used for your PayPal account, the Item Name and the Price.
- Then Click 'Save'
- The Buy now button will then be displayed when the Gallery item is viewed.

Shipping Limitations
The current Pay Pal button does not pass shipping values into Pay Pal (shipping rate field coming soon).
The current options are to:
- Remove all shipping calculations and pad shipping costs into your price, or
- Base shipping rates on Total order amount
Free Shipping
- Log into your Pay Pal account.
- Go to My Account / Profile / My selling tools and update 'shipping calculations'
- Select and Delete any current Shipping Calculations. If you have not previously set up Shipping Methods' you will be prompted to do so. You do not need to do so.
When a purchase is made the buyer will not be charged any additional shipping and handing fees. Price your items to cover shipping.
Shipping based on Total Order Amount
- Log into your Pay Pal account.
- Go to My Account / Profile / My selling tools and update 'shipping calculations'
- Set up 'Domestic Shipping Methods'
- Select 'All States and Territories' and click the 'Add >>' button and 'Continue'
- Choose shipping method and time, base shipping rates on Total order amount
- Fill in the rate table (ex. $0.01 - $5.00 = $1.00 shipping and handling)
- Click 'Continue', then 'Save Shipping Method'
When a purchase is made the buyer will be charged a flat rate based on the cost of the item being purchased.
Sales Tax
Online sellers are required to collect on items sold and delivered within their state. For example, if you run your business out of Colorado and someone from Colorado orders an item from you, then you are required to charge them sales tax (Colorado has a 2.9% statewide tax rate). In addition, cities, counties, municipalities and other smaller units within states may also levy sales tax. These can run another 1-2% of the price of an item.

My Account / Profile / My selling tools and update 'Sales Tax'
